I worked in retail for many years. I served my Official Thundercats shirt. And I can tell you every company I ever worked for wants you to work even if you are blowing your nose and coughing crap up… doesn’t matter to them who else you are getting sick as long as they don’t have to rearrange the schedule to cover your shift. I’m glad this is being done, but on the other hand, after clawing my way out of retail hell… kind of telling that a literal global pandemic (and probably the threat of lawsuits if they don’t) is the thing that gets multiple large companies to actually do this. It’s a sign of how badly the administration is fumbling its first national emergency when even an evil empire like Walmart is behaving better.
